Elder Law, Estate Planning, Probate, Wills & Trusts, Residential & Commercial Law, Fiduciary Liability
I represent lending institutions, investors, individuals, fiduciaries and businesses. I have built a strong, high net worth client base from lifelong residence and hard work in the Greenwich community, and my personal and professional activities in the Fairfield and Westchester County My family has been in the Greenwich area for over 100 years.

My practice includes residential and commercial real estate, wills, trusts, probate, estate planning and settlement, elder law, environmental real estate issues, fiduciary liability, estate tax audits, and commercial law. Complex problem solving for families with disabled members, and for small businesses and real estate and estate clients is a particular interest. I use a multi-disciplinary approach drawing on the expertise of a federation of expert colleagues when necessary.

Problems of a financial nature and all subjects interest me. When a lawsuit is the only alternative, I work closely with trial counsel as a litigation manager. The unprecedented growth of the real estate market during the last 21 years has created enormous opportunities for honest people, and unfortunately, for others who forget their ethics. I have extensive experience in identifying and stopping schemes threatening multi-million dollar real estate losses.I have no patience for sleight of hand strategies or inveiglers who take advantage. As an elder law attorney, I can set up and coordinate home hospice care for terminally ill estate clients drawing on a network of physicians, nurses, pharmaceutical providers and caregivers. I will serve as an expert witness if called in appropriate circumstances. My strength is my diversity and independence.

Many of my cases are straightforward, such as the preparation of wills, trusts, contracts, the settling of an estate, or real estate transactions. Every transaction, every problem is unique. The result obtained can turn on one simple fact omitted, or not appreciated.

In over 21 years of practice I have had countless clients seek my expertise to extricate them from bad situations, and to place them in the right place, particularly estate settlements where family members are involved in a dispute. Sometimes these situations present with a financial troublemaker who must be dealt with using appropriate legal strategies. In my opinion, it is easier to rob someone with a pen than to rob a convenience store. It takes a good lawyer to spot this kind of abuse and to hold those responsible accountable. Clients should obtain legal advice early, before the first document is signed. Documents can come back to haunt you, creating the nightmare of a lifetime.

Good planning makes for successful case management whether in the context of estate settlement, a real estate investment, a probate or civil litigation matter, closing a refinance loan or buying a home or business, or any decision involving legal issues. Obtain good advice before proceeding.
